As you are aware, the whole world is currently facing a serious health situation which is as a result of Covid-19, an infectious disease caused by Corona Virus. All efforts are being made by the experts to combat it. Meanwhile, every individual is advised to observe practices such as regular washing of hands, keeping social distance, avoiding large gatherings, avoiding handshakes, and when infected staying at home. These and many practices may help to prevent the spread of the disease.
At Care Direct and Support Solutions, our employees and service users remain our first priority and we will do our best to maintain your safety and ours during these challenging times. Our carers will continue to keep our strict hygienic practices such as washing hands before and after attending to your care and when needed, in between the care (in case of any contact with bodily fluids). Our carers have also been provided with extra PPE and will continue to wear their gloves, aprons as well as face masks, overshoes, over sleeves etc. All these PPE’s have been made available to the carers.
Please be rest assured that carers are well informed on the current pandemic and will implement all practice learnt in infection prevention and control training and knowledge held on performing care while Covid-19 remains present. If a carer is unwell, displays any symptoms or has been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms, they will self-isolate and he/she would be replaced with another carer. If a carer is unable to be replaced, we would ask family members to step-in. Should you also feel unwell please inform us.
Attached is a guidance from the Public Health England on staying at home if you think you have the symptoms.
